Meet Ms. Vee

Hello, I’m Ms. Vee! I am an English language lecturer with 9 years of teaching experience and a love for helping students discover the power (and fun!) of words. I believe learning should be as engaging as it is challenging, so I use modern, interactive teaching methods to create memorable learning experiences. I’m also deeply committed to mentoring students to become effective communicators and responsible leaders. With a First-Class Honours in English and a Master of Arts in English Language, my research interests include Stylistics, Sociolinguistics, and Pragmatics. My work often explores the intersection of language, technology, and society, examining language variation, communication in digital spaces, institutional discourse, and national language policies. The Word Lounge is my cozy corner of the internet. It is a space where we learn, share ideas, and grow together. Whether we’re unpacking tricky grammar rules, playing with new vocabulary, or exploring how language shapes our world, I’m here to guide you every step of the way. When I’m not teaching, you might find me reading, scribbling ideas in a notebook, sewing, or enjoying a good laugh over an old English movie. You’re warmly invited to come lounge with me!
